Zhone Technologies Inc is currently seeking a Network Administrator to join its IT Operations team. We are looking for a motivated individual that is a hands-on problem solver and team player.

Job Duties:
Provide maintenance and support for MPLS network, LAN, VOIP and PBX, cell phones, network firewalls and security. Role will also have some system and end user administration responsibilities. Assist in setup and configuration of Zhone networking equipment for various business units.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability in implementing and managing a medium sized enterprise network, systems administration tasks, architect effective scalable solutions as well as authoring policies and procedures that support 24x7 operations. This position includes off hours, on-call responsibilities. Candidate will have Advanced troubleshooting and support skills.

Qualifications:

• min 5 years of experience as network administrator.
  
• expertise with configuration/administration of Cisco ASA firewalls
  
• expertise with administration of Cisco Unity
  
• expertise with large Cisco switches/routers
  
• strong familiarity with configuration/administration of wireless LANs
  
• strong familiarity with configuration/administration of Avaya PBX
  
• strong knowledge of Network and Application security and principles
  
• strong familiarity with RADIUS
  
• high competence with network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WAN optimizers.
  
• ability to self manage and deliver on multiple projects
  
• familiarity with *nix
  
• Available for 24x7 emergency support
  
• familiarity with element management tools
  
• familiarity with VOIP protocols and softswitches a plus
  
• some scripting/programming experience (Bourne, Bash, Perl)
  
• good written and verbal communications skills
  

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
