Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE), a global leader in multi-service

lines, today announced a contract with MTS Allstream Inc., one of Canada's
leading national communication solutions providers. MTS Allstream will deploy
Zhone's multi-access line concentrator (MALC) as a full-featured
Multi-service access platform optimized for delivering voice and data services
over its extensive national network.

network. We sought a next generation access product to deliver voice and data
services to our residential, small business and enterprise customers. Zhone
has a comprehensive and flexible converged platform that meets these

MTS Allstream will be rolling out the new services and evolving existing
