Our customers continue to lead the industry in delivering high-innovation access services worldwide. Zhone equipment now supports some of the most forward-thinking network initiatives in deployment today. This quarter we spotlighted Telebec's IMS plans, pure-play rollouts by MTS Allstream and One Communications, ON Telecom's EFM strategy to win leased line business from incumbents in Greece, and Masketel's MDU service initiative.

We also recently announced SkyZhone, the industry's first telco-grade metro Wi-Fi system. SkyZhone's DSL backhaul, an all-MIMO antenna architecture, combined with line powering have created a new performance standard for metro Wi-Fi. We showcased SkyZhone at NXTcomm where it received a nod from the NXTcomm awards committee for tech innovation.

Bruce comes to us from Wave 7 Optics, a company he joined when it was still an early stage startup. Prior to Wave 7, he worked his way up the Nortel ranks to become VP of engineering and VP of Nortel's Open IP portfolio. Bruce came on board in June and we're happy to welcome him to the team.

As we establish a long-term user's group, your participation is essential for success. We feel a group forum can provide many benefits to your company. Recent Meetings discussed the launch of the Zhone User Group Web Forum which will include:

About The Group

The Zhone User's Group is a technical forum co-chaired by Zhone customers who wish to share ideas and information, and trade open and uncensored feedback and suggestions. This is an opportunity for you to influence Zhone's product direction, and the future of multi-service access communications at large. While Zhone is attentive to group issues and outcomes, the company does not shape or influence the forum in any way. This is a hype-free technical venue.

The latest MALC (1.14.2) becomes Sonus-Powered™ through independent verification of the MALC by the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL). The interoperability partner program at UNH-IOL ensures that interoperability testing in a Sonus IP voice networking environment is available on an industry-wide basis to vendors who offer products designed for an IMS-enabled next-generation service provider environment.
