Overview
The Zhone 1740 SHDSL Router is an ideal device for support of DSL termination for both home offices and small to medium businesses. It offers a rich set of features that provide high performance, easy local and remote management, and outstanding LAN and WAN networking flexibility.
The 1740 SHDSL Router supports G.991.2 and interoperates with Zhone's 8820, BitStorm 2600 and 4200IP. In addition to operating as a CPE the 1740 can also operate in a back to back mode. This enables the CPE to be at each end of the DSL link to bring service across a campus or in a point-to-point configuration for smaller deployments.
The Quality of Service feature ensures a smooth net connection for inbound and outbound data with minimal traffic congestion. THe router also supports IPSec VPN for users to create a secure data communications environment between two or more sites.
