Overview

The MALC, Zhone's Flagship Access product provides the ability to support many copper and fiber based services. One such service is the ability to subtend existing chassis DS3/E3 based products and provide for aggregation of DS3/E3 services. The MALC has the unique ability to bring in DS3/E3 interfaces and transport them over OC3 or GigE interfaces depending on the uplink chosen for the chassis.

The Service Provider also has the ability on the MALC to provide traditional Voice, Video and Data services while also including the ability to provide high bandwidth 100MBps and GigE services to end-users, ensuring that today's investment will take the service provider well into the future.
