Overview

The MALC's GPON OLT Line card provides industry leading capabilities supporting 2.5Gbps downstream bandwidth and 1.25 Gbps upstream bandwidth. With the MALC's ability to support 1280 GPON subscribers using Class B+ optics it is one of the industries densest OLT's. In addition the GPON OLT line card when included in a MALC chassis with the voice gateway provide a complete solution for service providers wanting to support Voice over IP.

GPON technology provides one of the most cost effective ways for service providers to deploy fiber based services to the residence, business or to the node. Utilizing GPON splitters that can be co-located with the MALC or remotely in the network the service provider can determine the best way to layout their network.
