Zhone’s MPC-AC modular AC-to-DC power supply system consists of a MPC-AC-S power shelf that accepts up to three (3) modular MPC-AC-15A front-access rectifiers that are specifically designed to operate as an integral part of a complete distributed power system.

Zhone's MPC-AC-S power shelf is designed to be easily rack mounted in a minimum amount of space. The MP-AC-S has been optimized for use with the IPD12000E and IPD4000E Ethernet DSLAMs, although it is capable of delivering reliable and redundant power to any 48 VDC-powered device.

The MPC-AC power shelf and modular rectifiers are designed for worldwide application in any 2U high space where nominal 48 V is needed. The AC power is applied using three (3) individual AC power cords for maximum flexibility and reliability.

Each MPC-AC-15A rectifier is available in EU, UK, and US varieties, and includes a full complement of alarm and shutdown features to protect the system in the event of a fault condition. Each power module delivers up to 15-amps at 48 vdc and is hot swappable. They can be configured in the MPC-AC-S shelf in a redundant, load-sharing manner to allow you to maximize the up time of your DSL infrastructure.

The flexible feature set available in Zhone’s MPC-AC modular, front-access power system makes it an excellent choice for applications requiring carrier-grade, reliable, and modular ac-to-dc bulk voltages.
