Overview

The OPX5200 Outside Plant Exchange Cabinet Family was specifically designed to provide outdoor housing solutions for the Zhone family of broadband loop carriers. This family of cabinets features a patented Enhanced Cooling System with superior heat dissipation that can accommodate higher line density and traffic rate applications as well as significantly improving battery life.

Designed specifically for the outside plant environment, the OPX5200 cabinet family optimizes equipment density, heat transfer and dissipation, power reserve, environmental protection and ease of installation and maintenance. Utilizing the side chambers for passive equipment the cabinets maximize valuable electronic space. The OPX5200 family can accommodate from 200 lines up to 1600 lines, depending on the type of access equipment selected and installed. All models, except the OPX5200E, can be pole or pad mounted. The OPX5200B can also be mounted on an existing host pad as an adjunct installation, utilizing an overhang plate. The Enhanced Cooling System enables a reduced cost-per-line solution and the capability for higher traffic rates and denser electronic equipment by greatly reducing battery temperatures without the use of air conditioners.
