Overview
The SHDSL Inverse Multiplexer Module has been designed to lower the cost of ownership of DSL broadband networks. The SIM2000 provides high-density SHDSL aggregation with advanced features such as Zhone's Multimedia Traffic Management™ (MTM) and loop bonding. The SIM2000 is supported by Zhone's IPD 12000 and 4000 Chassis.
The SIM2000 was designed for ease of use with zero-configuration installation, while at the same time supporting a full range of advanced features. For example, Multi-media Traffic Management (MTM) allows service providers to deploy real Quality of Service in an Ethernet-based IP network, without the need for complex configuration. Best of all, Carriers and Service Providers will realize significant reductions in capital expenditures in deploying the industry's only complete Ethernet based IP broadband solution.
The SIM2000-24 provides 24 individual single copper pair SHDSL lines, allowing for data rates ranging from 144Kbps up to 2.3Mbps symmetrical bandwidth per port at distances up to 24,000 feet/7,315 meters. The SIM2000-24 also supports Ethernet Loop Bonding technology, which allows the service provider to bond up to 24 copper pairs for bandwidths up to 55 Mbps to a single subscriber, when using a compatible Zhone SHDSL CPE with loop bonding support, such as the SNE2020G-S, SNE2040G-S, SµD2011-12, or SMD2000-24.
