Zhone Cabinet Retrofit kits enable operators to upgrade their existing DLC cabinets to offer Broadband DSL. Retrofit kits are a unique and low cost solution enabling existing cabinets to bring triple play services to 100% of the subscriber base. By selectively adding new components only where necessary and maintaining original components where possible, Retrofit kits allow the service provide to preserve their infrastructure investment and maximize the value of existing equipment. The OSP Outside Plant environmentally sealed DSLAM/BLC provides the same features as Zhone's Raptor XP/MALC XP product lines and provides a compact easy to install and provision outdoor application. This allows service providers to deploy the same product that they've been using in Central Offices and remote cabinets in locations where there is a lack of cabinet space. The OSP can be easily stored on poles and walls in space challenged locations and is designed to withstand the outside elements while still being easily serviced. PON Splitters
Between the PON OLT and the ONT may be one or two stages of passive PON splitters, which split the connection to multiple end points (up to 64), as well as WDM combiners, when RF overlay services are also being offered.
