Zhone also has a purpose built JITC certified, small form factor, one rack unit MXK 194 and MXK 198 GPON OLTs both offer high density, multi-service functionality in compact, enterprise ready form-factors. The Zhone MX-180 and MX-280 provide high performance Active Ethernet OLT and MDU ONU functionality in compact, enterprise ready form-factors.

Zhone's MXK chassis based platform provides a high-density GPON OLT solution with support for up to 9,216 GPON ONT's using advanced fiber optics while supporting industry-standard 2.5Gbps downstream bandwidth and 1.25 Gbps upstream bandwidth. Zhone's MXK also supports Active Ethernet for point-to-point wire speed performance. The MXK 194 and 198 series GPON OLTs can support up to 512 GPON ONTs in a single one rack unit platform featuring the industry's first 8-port GPON card. The MXK-194 and 198 architecture enables easy deployment in computer rooms while offering unmatched bandwidth with non-blocking throughput capacity. Zhone's comprehensive line of MXK OLT's all leverage Zhone's well-proven SLMS operating system for ease of provisioning and rapid deployment of your Passive Optical LAN network.

Models are available with 24 Fast Ethernet Ports with either SFP or RJ45 interfaces and multiple Fast or Gigabit Ethernet and GPON uplinks.
