Software Increment Release Notes ================================ Increment ID: I05A1730 Date created: May 4, 2000 CSR number: 50318022 Title: Memory Robustness Patchback Detailed Description of Increment: ---------------------------------- This patch includes two enhancments and one fix. The first enhancment is the Memory leak robustness which will swact the APU when free memory has run out. The second enhancement is the addition of the STOR log. This log will be produced at the end of the REX test every night so that potential memory issues can be tracked. The fix addresses a store gobbler in the NLIC maintenance software. The original code for these issues is included in the AN18 software release. System Configuration / Shelf Type Requirements: ----------------------------------------------- This increment is applicable in all AccessNode configurations. Test Instructions: ------------------ 1. Apply this increment 2. Monitor for anything out of the ordinary (SWERRs, TRAPs, etc.) Please be aware of the following circumstances when working with this patch: When this patch is applied then removed and applied again this patch will SWERR several times. These SWERRs are produced because the STOR log is defined on the initial application. When it is applied any subsequent time after that the system SWERRs to alert the user that the log already exists. This DOES NOT have any effect on the functionality of the patch. 3. Ensure system remains stable
