Detailed Description of Increment: ---------------------------------- This increment provides fixes for the following issues: 1. Linecard pull causes TDM trap. 2. Fix Hong Kong POTS linecard Template. 3. Add support for new TDM card. The new card requires a compressed FPGA load. 4. Fix for TDMLOGIN causing TDM software to crash. 5. Hook flash ON / OFF provisioning for LSR lines. 6. Fix for Switch diags on HK Pots service. 7. Degraded Fiber fix. 8. MVI FWD disconnect fixes. 9. Phantom dial pulse on CSC fix. System Configuration / Shelf Type Requirements: ----------------------------------------------- This increment is applicable to AccessNode configurations with UE9000 shelves. Prerequisite Increments Required: --------------------------------- I01A1730 through I12A1730 Loads Affected: --------------- TDM: ANTDM17CW Installation Instructions: -------------------------- NOTE: Application of this patch will take at least one hour. Application of this patch to spans of control that have more than 5 NEs that have UE9000 shelves may take several hours. Do NOT exit ISD or abort the process. Additionally for large spans of control, the patch application may fail. Download increment from the Web: Either a) download the increment directly to the /iswd directory on the OPC. b) download the increment to tape and insert into the OPC tape drive. Start up Incremental SW Del. from the Software Admin toolset on the OPC. Deliver the increment: 1) Select Deliver an Increment. 2) Type y to verify your selection. Verify the increment: 1) From the ISD main menu, select Display Increments. 2) Select Display to Screen. 3) Verify the increment delivered has the correct Title and Description. Also verify that their status is "READY TO APPLY". NOTE: If the increment is a Linecard only increment, the status will be "LOAD DELIVERED". 4) Press any key to return to the main menu. Apply the increment: 1) From the ISD main menu, select Apply an Increment. 2) In the list, select the number next to the increment you delivered. 3) Select one of these options: 1) Apply to ALL NEs (to set the increment fully into the system) 2) Trial on one NE (to test the increment to ensure that it causes no problems) If you select option 2, a list of NEs in the span of control appears. From the list of NEs, select the number next to the one you want to test. A confirmation screen appears. NOTE: Trial apply does not change the catalogue file in the OPC. If you wish to trial apply, you must first perform the following steps at the NE that is being trial applied: >quit all >ueupgci >autoupgs off Executing these commands turns the auto upgrade for the TDMs to off. Performing a restart will turn the auto upgrade back on. A TDM firmware mismatch alarm will occur. 4) Type y to verify your selection. 5) When the application is complete, press any key to scroll through the summary screen until you return to the main menu. 6) From the main menu, select Display Increments. 7) Select Display to Screen. 8) Verify that the status next to each NE now reads "APPLIED" (or "TRIAL APPLIED" if you chose to run a test in step 3 above). NOTE: If the patch FAILS (status with the Incremental Software Delivery tool), execute the following commands at the NE for which the patch fail state appears: >quit all >ueupgci >getcatalogue REL_1730 >upgradetdm The TDM upgrade will take approximately 45 minutes. If the communication between the OPC and the NE is an OMC link, the TDM download may take more than one hour. Up to four NEs can be upgraded manually simultaneously.
