Software Increment Release Notes ================================ Increment ID: I23A1730 Date created: December 6th, 2000 Title: ------ CPLD Version 3 for the LAIC & TL1 TR834 Interface fix Effect on Traffic: ------------------ No Effect on Traffic Detailed Description of Increment: ---------------------------------- This increment delivers the CPLD version 3 load to the OPC. The corresponding APU increment I24A1730 is needed to download the new CPLD to the LAIC. In addition, the TL1 interface is now TR834 compliant. It will accept TL1 TR834 commands from a React test set. System Configuration / Shelf Type Requirements: ----------------------------------------------- This increment must be applied to all AN17.30 AccessNode configurations and shelf types. Prerequisite Increments Required: --------------------------------- Increments I01A1730 through I22A1730 must be successfully applied prior to application of this increment. Loads Affected: --------------- LAIC: CPLD Version 3 and the OPC ACNL17BZ load Special Instructions: --------------------- Patch I24A1730 is required to complete the entire replacement of CPLD Version 3. Installation Instructions: -------------------------- Download increment from the Web: Either a) download the increment directly to the /iswd directory on the OPC. b) download the increment to tape and insert into the OPC tape drive. Start up Incremental SW Del. from the Software Admin toolset on the OPC. Deliver the increment: 1) Select Deliver an Increment. 2) Type y to verify your selection. Verify the increment: 1) From the ISD main menu, select Display Increments. 2) Select Display to Screen. 3) Verify the increment delivered has the correct Title and Description. Also verify that the status is "READY TO APPLY". 4) Press any key to return to the main menu. Apply the increment: 1) From the ISD main menu, select Apply an Increment. 2) In the list, select the number next to the increment you delivered. 3) When the application is complete, press any key to scroll through the Summary screen(s) until you return to the main menu. 4) From the main menu, select Display Increments. 5) Select Display to Screen. 6) Verify that the status now reads "APPLIED" Test Instructions: ------------------ Login to the OPC. cd /users/VFS/users/anx ls -al Verify that the LAICCPLD link is pointing to the newly delivered load.
