Software Increment Release Notes ================================ Increment ID: I16A1800 Date created: 02/06/01 Title: ------ UE9000 fixes for stutter dial tone and TR08 issues. Effect on Traffic / Warnings: ----------------------------- Calls in progress will not be dropped. Calls can not be originated for 30 seconds while the TDM executes a warm restart. Detailed Description of Increment: ---------------------------------- 1. Fix issue where if an MVI line generates a flash for approximately 650 milliseconds at the initial dial tone stage (before any digits), stutter dial tone may be received. 2. SDSL (16+0) UE line cards may fail due to ping audit. 3. Fix issue where TR08 lines may get stutter dial tone during off hook after provisioning. Also address TR08 callp issues caused by 20 minute audit. 4. Fix onhook transmission provisioning setting when using TL1. 5. Increase max messages from 50 to 100 to eliminate TDM messaging swerrs that may be generated during high traffic. System Configuration / Shelf Type Requirements: ----------------------------------------------- This increment must be applied to all AN18.00 AccessNode configurations and shelf types. This increment affects UE9000 shelves. Prerequisite Increments Required: --------------------------------- Increments I01A1800 through I15A1800 must be successfully applied prior to application of this increment. Loads Affected: --------------- : ANTDM18BO Special Instructions: --------------------- **** PLEASE NOTE **** No special instructions for this increment. Installation Instructions: -------------------------- Please refer to the Incremental Software Delivery Users Guide for general installation instructions. This document may be obtained from either the AccessWeb ISD web site (https://www23.nortelnetworks.com/ACCESS_OPTICAL/esd/), where the AccessNode increments are located, or you may order it through your Nortel Account Manager or Order Manager. The document number for the Incremental Software Delivery Users Guide is P0934362. Test Instructions: ------------------ 1. Get dial tone on an MVI line on a UE shelf. Generate a flash and verify stutter dial tone is not heard. 2. Verify SDSL (16+0) UE line cards do not fail ping audit. 3. Provision a new TR08 line and verify regular dial tone is heard after first off hook. Establish TR08 phone call for more than 20 minutes. Ensure abnormal behavior (call drop / transmission problems) does not exist. 4. After provisioning, verify onhook transmission is working as expected. 5. Generate 6 half calls per second traffic on one UE shelf, and ensure TDM messaging swerrs are not generated.
