Software Increment Release Notes ================================ Increment ID: I18A1800 Date created: March 1, 2001 Title: ------ TR08/INA Cross connect TL1 format, lasaldmp, root restriction for ISD and DTAP cluster inventory improvements. Effect on Traffic / Warnings: ----------------------------- None. Detailed Description of Increment: ---------------------------------- This increment corrects the TR08/Tandem cross connect tl1 format incompatibility issue that occurs after upgrading to AN18 on Point to Point configurations. There is now a user configurable option to select which format should be accepted by TL1. The software will now work correctly with both the old and new message formats. In addition, the lasaldmp command has been modified to accurately indicate the source of logs and alarms. Previously cards such as NLIC, AIC and MLCs were being reported as CE (Common equipment). Now they will be reported as individual cards, making the output more detailed. This increment will prevent anyone not logged in as root from running the ISD tool. This will eliminate any possible confusion about the state of the ISD database as previously ISD would report a possible corruption if the ISD tool was started by any user other than root. In Cluster Inventory, when a DTAP card is inserted in an ABM shelf, the subslot fields will be suppressed and will not appear. System Configuration / Shelf Type Requirements: ----------------------------------------------- This increment must be applied to all AN18.00 AccessNode configurations and shelf types. This increment affects the Operations Controller. Prerequisite Increments Required: --------------------------------- Increments I1A1800 through I17A1800 must be successfully applied prior to application of this increment. Loads Affected: --------------- OPC: ACNL18AX Special Instructions: --------------------- *****IMPORTANT***** After this increment has been successfully applied or removed, the OPC ISD tool MUST be exited and then restarted before any further ISD actions are taken.
