Software Increment Release Notes ================================ Increment ID: I20A1800 Date created: 05/30/2001 Title: ------ Universal Edge 9000 Enhancements - Power consumption, MVI & CSC forward disconnect, MVI revertive ringing, SAA12 serial number, PCM-Path failure alarms and Unequipped during TDM processor switch of activity. Effect on Traffic / Warnings: ----------------------------- Calls in progress will not be dropped. Calls can not be originated for 30 seconds while the TDM executes a warm restart. Detailed Description of Increment: ---------------------------------- 1. Reduces the power consumption of the UE9000 shelf by preventing incremental current draw upon initialization of the line cards at the time the UE9000 shelf is powered on. 2. Eliminates an MVI forward disconnect issue on the UE9000 shelf which was causing lines to stay in the Traffic-Busy state permanently. 3. Corrects MVI revertive ringing where lines would not ring back at the appropriate times. 4. Prevents the UE9000 TDM processors from going into the Unequipped state during execution of a TDM processor switch of activity. 5. Fixes a CSC Forward disconnect issue where UE9000 lines would stay in the Traffic-Busy state for an extended period of time. 6. The correct SAA12 card serial number is now displayed on the NEUI. 7. Corrects an addressing issue that was causing PCM-Path Failure alarms on Multi-Line Circuit (MLC) 1 of a UE9000 shelf. System Configuration / Shelf Type Requirements: ----------------------------------------------- This increment must be applied to all AN18.00 AccessNode configurations and shelf types. This increment affects the TDM Processor. Prerequisite Increments Required: --------------------------------- Increments I01A1800 - I19A1800 must be successfully applied prior to application of this increment. Loads Affected: --------------- After successful application of this patch, the TDM load will be: ANTDM18BR Special Instructions: --------------------- None Installation Instructions: -------------------------- Please refer to the Incremental Software Delivery Users Guide for general installation instructions.
