Software Increment Release Notes ================================ Increment ID: I25A1800 Date created: 03/15/01 CSR number: 60338515 Title: ------ Multiple Fix Increment Effect on Traffic: ------------------ There is no effect on service when the increment is applied. Detailed Description of Increment: ---------------------------------- This increment contains fixes for the following issues : 1) MLCs come up "IS-Trbl Parent Eqpt Fail" after a dead system recovery. 2) The "Idle CPU Threshold exceeded" alarm is observed frequently. 3) The CLEI for DS3 cards is displayed incorrectly. 4) The following services can not be provisioned on circuits 13-24 of an MLC using TL1 : MIVUVG, LSR, LGB. 5) MVIISDN service can not be deleted from the switch if it was provisioned from TL1, and vice-versa. 6) The release of NT1 loopback for ISDN lines can fail. System Configuration / Shelf Type Requirements: ----------------------------------------------- This increment is applicable to all AccessNode configurations, shelf types, and interfaces. Prerequisite Increments Required: --------------------------------- Increments I01A1800 through I24A1800 must be successfully applied prior to application of this increment. Loads Affected: --------------- APU : ACCL18BC Special Instructions: --------------------- NONE Installation Instructions: -------------------------- Please refer to the Incremental Software Delivery Users Guide for general installation instructions. This document may be obtained from either the AccessWeb ISD web site (https://www23.nortelnetworks.com/ACCESS_OPTICAL/esd/), where the AccessNode increments are located, or you may order it through your Nortel Account Manager or Order Manager. The document number for the Incremental Software Delivery Users Guide is P0934362. Test Instructions: ------------------ 1) This cannot be tested. If the system does lose power, the expected functionality is that the TDMs and MLCs will recover as per the specifications in the NTPs. 2) Ensure the "Idle CPU Threshold exceeded" alarms are not observed 3) Delete and re-add DS3 cards - ensure that CLEI codes appear correct 4) Provision MVIUVG, LSR, and LGB lines from TL1 on circuits 13-24 of any MLC - ensure that provisioning for these services goes through with the normally expected results 5) Add and delete MVIISDN lines from TL1 and the switch - ensure that an MVIISDN circuit can be added from TL1, and deleted from the switch. - ensure that an MVIISDN circuit can be added from the switch, and deleted from TL1. 6) For ISDN lines, ensure that loopbacks can be set up and released successfully.
