Software Increment Release Notes ================================ Increment ID: I33A1800 Release: AN1800 Date created: 8-16-2002 Increment Type: TDM Title: TDM: UE9000 lines overload the ABM after lightning strikes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UE9000 lines may cycle on and off hook after lightning strikes. * Description: UE9000 lines in the vicinity of lightning strikes may continuously cycle between an on hook state and an off hook state due to a mismatch between the hardware and software state of the line. This creates excessive messaging which is harmful to the ABM. * Impact: Instances of slow dial tone and no dial tone, the inability to change the state of or perform maintenance activities on line cards, loss of sync between ABM processors, and sluggish system behavior. * Pre-Increment work-around: Reseat all active UE9000 TDM cards, wait for ABM processor sync, then perform a warm APU swact.
