MLC failures during Optical Protection Switching Activities * Description: Primary optic protection switching may cause the UE9000 to momentarily fail Multiple-circuit Line Card (MLC) circuit packs. * Pre-Increment Impact and work-around: Tests have shown that action is not required by the customer to restore service to the impacted lines. However, under adverse conditions (such as several UE9000 shelves reporting multiple MLC failures) a more controlled recovery may speed overall system return to service. This can be accomplished by taking all the UE9000 shelves in trouble offline, and allowing each to recover in a serial fashion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Increments Needed: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Increments I01A1905 through I09A1905 need to be successfully applied prior to application of this increment.
