**** PLEASE NOTE ****
THESE SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS APPLY TO THE APPLICATION OF LINE CARD LOADS
AND SHOULD ONLY BE EXECUTED IF REQUIRED TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE.  THE LINE
CARD LOADS SHOULD BE APPLIED DURING A MAINTANANCE WINDOW.

The LC load address the following issues:
Incompatibility between the AN DPT service and related equipment (i.e. 5ESS, etc)

PERFORM THE FOLLOWING STEPS IN EACH NE WITHIN THE OPC'S SPAN OF 
CONTROL:

Note that some commands will ask for confirmation.  Respond with "y".


OPC Level
---------
1. Login to OPC as a root user and change to the following directory
	opc> cd /users/VFS/users/anonymous/lc

2. Ftp the 1711AA09.PH and 1712AA13.PH LC files to the above directory on the active OPC.

3. Verify the checksums of the files that were extracted:
	opc> sum *.PH

   Ensure that the checksums match the table below -
        Checksum	 Load name
	---------------------------
	42763 	1712AA13.PH  
	1062 		1711AA09.PH  
	

   If there is a checksum mismatch then the LC file is corrupted.
   Remove the files; FTP the LC files again and restart the process.


NE Level

4. Log into the NE as the admin user

5. At the CI prompt, type the following:
	> lcloadci

6. Set the default service load to the new default load context for 
   the line cards:
	> setdftid serv 2wireDPT NT4K68AA all PH
          (Answer "Yes" to every subsequent query)
  
   NOTE:  If the following error appears -
          "Operation Successful
	   No slot matches the specified service and card type or it 
	   is mismatched"
	  a. Check that the command was typed correctly.
        b. The service may not be provisioned on that particular NE
             in which case the msg. should be ignored.

7. Reload the line cards to the new default loads:
CAUTION:  THIS STEP IS SERVICE AFFECTING.  EXPECT DOWNTIME TO VARY 
	  FROM 5 TO 20 MINUTES.

	NOTE: For the following commands replace "cds" with "anx" or “UE” if 
	      AccessNode Express or UE9000 shelves are being used.
	> reloadlc all cds 2wireDPT NT4K68AA all
          (Answer "Yes" to every subsequent query)

Repeat steps 1-3 for each OPC with the required changes, and 
steps 4-7 for each NE within that OPC's span of control.

RESTORING THE ORIGINAL LOADS
