4. Software Co-Requirements

The Port Card and Service Node release migration paths are specified in the “Release Migration Paths” document included with the firmware file.

5. Compatibility With Other Released Models

• The 6310-A3/A4 release P04.03.05 is only to be used in conjunction with an 8310, 8312 or 8314 Reach DSL Port Card. The list of Port Card firmware releases and DSP revisions that interoperate with the 6310-A4 and the 6310-A3 are specified in the “ReachDSL/MVL Portcard and Endpoints Compatibility Matrix” document included with the firmware file. However, for optimal performance, it is strongly recommended the endpoint interoperates with a portcard that includes DSP version 4.10.20 or greater.

• 6310-A2, A3 or A4 RTUs can be used in a multidrop configuration and can be mixed (i.e. , user can utilize -A2s and -A3s multidropped on the same port.)

• If loop length is greater than 8kft better performance is achieved if there is at least one -A3 endpoint in the configuration.

NOTE: Do not load this firmware in an 6310-A1 or 6310-A2 modem.
