  1. Feature Enhancements / Functional Changes

 

This release resolves two field issues.

1.1 Security

1.1.1 FTP

Firmware update is accomplished using an embedded FTP client. The FTP operation is initiated using the telnet

CLI. The FTP operation may be accomplished through either the Ethernet port or DSL link.

1.1.2 Console

The telnet login procedure requires a login name and password. The login name is: “root” and the default password

is “Admin”. The same password is used for both telnet and web, and may be changed using the web user interface.

1.1.3 Web

The web login procedure requires a login name and password. The default login name is “Admin” and the default

password is “Admin”. The same password is used for both web and telnet, and may be changed using the web user

interface.

1.1.4 SNMP

SNMP is not supported.

1.2 Functional Changes

        5a.  Upgrading Procedures
 
 

 The new release utilizes a new web page, Clear the memory cache (Netscape) or delete internet files (IE) after the upgrade. For the upgrade a passive FTP server is needed. Upgrade tested with freeware GuildFTP. File can be found at www.guildftpd.com.
