Description: The Zhone MALC/MXK is a high-density multi-access line concentrator specifically developed to support both fiber and copper interfaces in a single access concentrator platform delivering any service to any subscriber over a single common infrastructure. This course will provide network operators and administrators with an understanding of its features and capabilities. Through a series of lectures and hands on exercises, students will be able to configure, provision, administer and troubleshoot the MALC/MXK.
The Zhone Management System (ZMS) is a java-based suite of client and server applications designed to provide flexible network management of the Zhone Family of networking equipment. In this course, students will be introduced to the various components of ZMS system. The associated functionality of each component will be discussed. Some of the activities in this course include monitoring of objects, provisioning of resources, managing of faults and network performance assessment.
