Zhone Users Group is an autonomous and informal organization of customers using Zhone products. A diverse customer base, Zhone Users Group is represented by ILEC, CLEC, MSO and PTT operators from around the world who use Zhone products in their network. All types of applications and services are represented by the members of the Zhone Users Group, providing a forum to exchange information, ideas and sometimes issues on a peer-to-peer basis.

End customers using Zhone products are invited and encouraged to join the Zhone Users Group and participate. The Zhone Users Group has nominated co-chairmen from the customer base who coordinate activities and manage the membership. Mr. Paul Keeling from SRT Communications and Mr. Troy Conley from Consolidated Communications represent Zhone users. Mr. Tim Smith is the Zhone representative to the users group.

Meeting of the Zhone Users Group

Zhone Users Group activities include an annual users conference, regular communications and bulletins via e-mail, as well as ad hoc discussions and information sharing on a peer-to-peer basis. Zhone neither directs or manages the activities, but is always there to assist the users and respond to any requests for information or queries. Zhone provides on-going administrative support, sponsorship for meetings and events, as well as maintenence of the user group database. Zhone has an assigned representative to the Zhone Users Group, and is always repsonsive to needs, keeping an open and friendly dialogue.
